In Himachal polls, it’s BJP Vs Congress in a two-cornered contest

World’s highest polling station in Himachal Pradesh, Tashigang village recorded 100 percent voting on Saturday for the Assembly elections.
The polling Booth witnessed all registered voters turning up to vote.
The village located at a height of 15,256 feet above sea-level is in Lahaul and Spiti district of the state.
The battle in the Lahaul and Spiti Assembly segment is between BJP’s candidate Ram Lal Markanda, Congress candidate Ravi Thakur and APP’s candidate Sudershan Jaspa.
Deputy District Returning Officer, Abhishek Verma said, ” We have been successful to turn this world’s highest polling station into a model polling station. The Tashigang polling station witnessed 100 percent voting. The natives came dressed up in traditional attire to vote.”
